Contacts for Hockley County Records

This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot check a live custody status, arrange a release, post bond, or obtain an official booking record for a visitor. For a current answer or a record request, use the responsible public office listed below.

Official Hockley County routes

Use the office that maintains the record. The jail handles county custody information, the county public-information channel accepts written records requests, and the clerks handle different court records.

Hockley County Sheriff’s Office and Hockley County Jail

Sheriff Chris Wischkaemper
1310 Avenue H
Levelland, TX 79336
Sheriff main number: 806-894-3126
Jail phone: 806-894-9334

The research did not identify a separate sheriff records-unit phone or published counter hours. Call ahead for routing, and use the official HCSO page for the current roster and service links.

County public-information requests

Hockley County Public Information Requests
802 Houston Street, Suite 103
Levelland, TX 79336
publicinforequest@hockleycounty.org

For an existing HCSO or jail record, identify the person or date range, the agency, and the specific record requested. Texas Government Code Chapter 552 governs public-information requests. HCSO’s historical 2023 fee sheet listed $15 for an offense or book-in report and $10 for a new mug shot, but the current 2026 fee schedule must be checked. Format, labor, redactions, and the record sought can affect a response.

County and district court records

County Clerk Jennifer Palermo
802 Houston Street, Suite 213
Levelland, TX 79336
806-894-3185
Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
District Clerk Oralie Gutierrez
802 Houston Street, Suite 316
Levelland, TX 79336
806-894-8527

Use the clerk that owns the court record. A jail booking does not establish a final case result. The county docket page is an official starting point for later county-court activity, while the District Clerk handles district-level records and expunction materials.
